For DisneyToy.

This may get you part of the way. The terrain will have to be scaled up vertically. You may also need to change the coloring and the fake stone distribution. But this may satisfy your director for a day or two.

Feel free to use this.

Very sweet, Henry.

I played around with your file and did a quick render.

Nice skills, dude.

Thank you.

Thank you Marc. I like this terrain also. I think it's one of the best I have done.

Try this if your running if Running XP, Media center and readers for various camera cards.

The is to disable all the camera card devices on the computer.

Control Panel>Performance & Maintenance>system>Hardware tab>Device Manager>
disk drives

then one by one, double click on
generic usb CF reader usb device
generic usb SD reader usb device
generic usb MS reader usb device
generic usb SM reader usb device

and under "device usage" set it to "disable device"

Hope this works. If not, reverse the procedure.

Marc

Note: Also, check your drive letter assignments. The next thing is to check is to see if it's a Malware issue.

Oddly enough I just retried it on my off line machine and it loaded fine except for the dry bush pop...I don't know if I have that but am searching my voluminous object drive as I write this...will post a render when I resolve the brush issue and maybe add to it a bit as I am wont to do..thanks for your fast reply mate...appreciated.. ...

You can just delete the objects. Then substitute any plant/s you have.

This error may be from Vista. I used a USB drive for ReadyBoost. ReadyBoost is a way to increase file performance.

Exactly what I did...copied the coords to a note pad first as I know from experience they disappear from the clipboard when you delete a pop..It's coming along...I'm auditioning veg  right now...think I found a nice bush but I recently dl'd about 60 free max XFROG trees and veg and also a copy of the Max Demo...managed to get them all to .obj before it timed out so I'm trying some of those atm.. ...
Thank you btw, for this cool scene to explore and perhaps learn a trick or 2 from.. ...

I hope you pick up something. The only thing that might be interesting is how I use a distribution shader with the fake stones. The last time I tried this, come of the fake stones ended up 'exploding'. The exploding effect may be interesting for crystals, but that's about all.

I am the same. I need to look at it and then build it myself. Doing this, am I beginning to get  hold on using functions; some of them anyway.

I actually learned how to play guitar by memorizing chord shapes from the guys on stage and finding out what they actually sounded like when I got home because at the volume in the '60's combined with the total lack of fidelity in P.A.systems back then I doubt I could have heard enuogh to make sense...

I stripped the object and object populations from the file. I went through this in notepad to check for any harddrive references, there were no others.
