Displacement Shaders as Blend Shaders

Hi Guys,

Subject says it all. Is it possible to use displacement shaders as blend shaders? It's not working if I plug one in directly to the blend shader input, so I wonder if some functions are needed to convert it?

Blending happens with black and white inputs, not displacement (normally). A displacement shader needs a black and white input to drive the displacement....
