I think when Oshyan posted to expect it "some time this summer", he was refering to the Southern hemisphere not the Northern hemisphere.  ;D

First snowfall can be Halloween or Christmas. I think Happy New Year will probably be the release.

From the threads and images I have seen which make beta test references, we will all be quite happy. Patience...

Hi everyone,

We're getting there. At the moment we're just sorting out the loose ends on the last big feature for this release. There are a few significant new features in this release, but primarily it's been about fixing problems and smaller improvements to existing features.

Although this release has taken longer than we wanted to get out, there has actually been a considerable amount of development effort during this time which is aimed toward future releases. The prime example of this is 64 bit support. All of the heavy lifting for this has been done and once we can get this next release out we'll get a 64 bit version to alpha testers and start getting that into shape for a public release.

One thing I will say is that the Mac version will be a public beta. This is because it's now using Cocoa for it's underpinnings, which is a pretty big change. It's working well but we want to try it with a wider audience before we call it final release quality.

Regards,

Jo

I don't get snow where I live, but it's still fall or winter.

I don't really care when the next version comes out as long as it's not next year. Maybe my birthday - nov 23?  ;D
Heard of computer graphics? CG? Terragen 2, the landscape generating program, also known as TG, a whole cool way to create realistic CG - with TG.
