Crater Shader?

I have been trying to create a moonscape and I am getting the impression that the "Crater Shader" only makes a single crater.  Is there a procedural shader that will scatter a pattern of craters with a noise distribution of sizes and locations over the entire surface of the "planet"?

Thanks

So you still need one Crater Shader node per crater.  Is this correct?

They just issued a tornado warning and said to stay away from windows. Does that mean I can't use my computer?

If you dont need to cover the entire planet, just the area within view then you could try the shader array, four or five offset instances of differing sized craters may do the trick.
I have not tried this but it could work ... .. .

ps: I'm having a go at a simple setup now and it looks to be slooooow. I'll post a tgd and screeny/render in a bit :)
pps: nope this is taking waaay tooo looong and I've given up on this approach.

Heres a funny thing
I answered dandelOs questionaire on his site (an un paralleled experience I might add) and got a prize. That prize - a crater shader! Haven't a clue what it does but I'm guessing it shades craters.
