Tried many other planned images but i didn't like the outcome so far .
So i tried one without anything in my mind.
It is very hot here ; it may have influenced the outcome and the name :)

Stitched from 8 x 800x600 images and then cropped .
The first i want when i have money is to buy TG2 .
I can not imagine trying to make something like this in another 3D software!

inkydigit

very nice terrain and surfaces....atmo/mood look really hot/desertlike!

Henry Blewer

Creative way to get around the freeware limits. Very nice terrain work.

domdib

Yes, very skilful displacements.

ra

Very realistic work.  :o
Mouthwash? We don't need no stinking mouthwash!! [MI2]

The rock surface looks incredibly good. The only thing I would criticise is the size of the sun disk. It's really very big.

Kadri

Thanks guys  :)

What made it possible are the members who share their knowledge here with us.
I am still very new to TG2 ! By doing this image i learned a lot .
And i think every other image will bring new things too.
There are so many possibilities with such a software.
It is like a cliche but i really trow this away. I could tweak this on and on.
Some of this comes from the way (Open ended (?)) and power of TG2 itself.

Cheers.

Hannes , in a way the name says it .
To the end i thought why not to do a image that shows a very far future of Earth.
In some way the danger of climate change and-or a bigger Sun of the future with a little artistic license.
But i didn't want that all of this to stick out too much at the same time  ;)

Hannes

Ah, then maybe the sun would be a red giant, wouldn't it? Anyway, this would look cool.

If it wasn't the free version i would render it ones more with a red Sun .
But as i said i wasn't trying to be scientifically true  :)

Edit : Hannes , i did try a red Sun on a 300x600 image but i didn't liked the outcome.
Too much red(suprise  :)) on the surfaces.
To make this believable is not easy with only making the Sun redder. Not for me at least !
It seams you have to play with other parameters too.

Hetzen

Your sandstone texture in that light is spot on.

I did try a little more but couldn't make a good image with a big red Sun.
It isn't so much hard to do in post but i wanted to make it in TG2.
The image here is very bad!

But as i did try some things i get distracted. It could maybe used in other ways!
Edit: God rays etc.

I will post the other part and the TGD in the file sharing section.

Kadri, I can't believe my eyes: is this your first image post? If yes, congratulations! :)

You have obviously made good use of your (secret) learning time. As Hetzen said the rock texture is great. The only thing that bothers me is that the ultra-sharp displacements continue to the horizon. I think it would be much nicer if the rough displacements would die off with the distance. Other than that: great scene! It looks very hot there indeed.

In fact this is the 3rd Frank  ;)

You are right . I really didn't bother with the horizon much.
This was one of the reason that i didn't wanted to show too much of the background.
Thanks Frank  :)

schmeerlap

Very nice ankle-dislocating displacements. If I go there I'll stay in the cab of my Tonka truck.
Good work, Kadri.

I hope I realise I don't exist before I apparently die.
