Just loaded it on my laptop, and yay!   Just done a quick test on the free older version of xfrog vegetation, and it seems to be working

I had to download a new video driver!

Yeah, I notice that the Background object never realy finishes rendering its preview any more. Trouble is I'm using the latest video drivers anyway.  Its not too big a deal but it would be great if there was a solution. Incase anyone can help the Video card is an NVideia 6800GO.

*EDIT* the display problem seems to have dissapeared for now, not by using any new drivers (tried that and no change) but by loading up a scene created in the old version of TG2
