There is nothing wrong with capitalism. The problem is fascism which is corporations working with government. This is how Mussolini defined it. The Nazi fascism was actually a blend of fascism and socialism. The genocide was actually the socialist bit, believe it or not. It was socialists who came up with the idea of eugenics.

Capitalism has to be regulated so monopolies don't form.

Now we have all the wost aspects of fascism and communism blended up. Too big to fail for corporations but destruction of wealth and property for the rest.

In the US there was a law called Glass Steagall put in place by Roosevelt. This separated out the investment banks from the commercial banks. The investment banks could be left to go bankrupt and the commercial banks could be saved (because we need those). This law was repealed which led to the present fiasco. The money supply should also be issued by government and not a private bank. Until these things are brought back and governments become representatives of the nation states again, you will be getting poorer and poorer that is guaranteed.

Do you have money in a bank? Did you borrow way over your head to say buy a house which was grossly inflated in value? Do you buy cheap (Communist - do not forget this) China slave made goods when there are often alternatives? Did you vote for these banking puppets who run your country? If you did these things you are responsible for your own demise but some of us aren't.

I bought a guitar quite recently. A Gibson Les Paul Traditional. Very expensive but beautifully crafted and MADE IN USA. I bought a hifi amp MADE IN UK by Arcam. Quality product. There are other items I have deliberately bought because they were not made in China and they were superior quality. Sadly, people are not prepared to pay for things and will be less and less able to in the future - by design.

#19 The U.S. Census Bureau says that 43.6 million Americans are now living in poverty and according to them that is the highest number of poor Americans in the 51 years that records have been kept.

That would be 14.1% - which is the relative poverty (normally this means <60% of median GDP per Capita).
in absolute poverty (you have to live from less than $1.25/2 per day), the usa is under 2%. @ wiki not even in the list.
there are 3rd world country's that have a (relative) poverty rate under this 14%, because simply noone has something to live from and therefore they have the same as everyone has. :)
take this in account......
