Hi there - long time no talk to (althought I've been on the board looking at your awesome work most days since the board opened)!

I've decided to not be put off by my lack of technical expertise, and become a relaxed hobbyist, rather than a competitive one.

Here's something new from me... saved as EXR and played with in photoshop.  Trees by XFrog.

This is nice. I like the rock face very much. I would try the wind patch effect settings to break up the waves on the water. Try using the measure tool on the top of the preview window. See how much water surface there is across the scene. Round the measurement up to something which will divide by 3 easily. This will give you a nice patch size.

Good to see you posting your work again, Eoin. Nice cliff with plenty of character.

I hope I realise I don't exist before I apparently die.

Nice layout and lighting effect, I like it.

is the soft light a lighting effect or a lens effect, or is it post work? Also, how?
It has been eaten.

It's just diffuse glow in Photoshop :)
