Rendered 1280x960, quality .6, AA 2, no GI. Render time approx. 2 hrs. Post worked in PS. Hope you like it. I'm starting to like this Version of Terragen.

Terrific terrain shape. I also like the dramatic lighting on the landscape. Did you use the fill light setup? I presume the sky is the majority of the post work. Did you try to create such a sky in TG2 or just felt it faster to composite?

Thanks Oshyan, The Terrain is a terrain from Christianfly called of Los-Indos. The Terrain is back lit with a fairly low sun and yes I used your fill light setup backed off on all 3 nodes to .03 strength. I had a cirrus cloud layer in there however I didn't like it and didn't feel like messing with it any longer.

So you know me Post Toasties.

Time to move on to something else.

Funny thing is, i am working on a very similar scene with my "Mesa" terrain to add more features and some vegetation. Currently i am messing around with the strata-shader. I am not sure if i understand how it works, even after reading Oshyans node description. But i will after some experiments.

Really good render, Buzzzzz. It looks like I'm there. The sky has an odd tint. I like it, though.

The lighting is very well done, I'd like to know more about this "fill light setup".

2 hrs. to render is a decent time as well.

Thanks, here's a link to the Thread by: Oshyan sharing the light setup clip http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=580.0 Without the fill lights the shadows are entirely to dark. And using the GI details for me gives very unnatural results at this time in the game, plus the render time with GI set is extreme. Hoping this will be Improved in future releases.

I'm not real happy with the detail but I wanted to see what .6 detail would do, normally I use higher like .8 or .9 which works well for me but of course adds render time.
