HDRI/IBL workflow

Hello, I'm a hobbyist user of Terragen Classic/2 Free Edition. I've searched the forum a couple of times, but I didn't really find anything that helped. I'd like to use Terragen to create HDRIs for IBL in other software, some of which (LuxRender specifically) use HDRIs of specific format (for LuxRender, latlong and spherical). Could someone with experience in using Terragen renders for IBL work help me out with specific things I could do to generate specific HDRI formats (panoramic, latlong, spherical, and so on) from my renders? I'd appreciate specific tips along this.
