[attach=#]The terrain is from GeoControl2 . I used the paint shader for the lava flow. Localized clouds for plume and a light source to light up the under side of plume. C&C welcome.

Nice and moody. I like the flying debris (procedural rocks?), although I think you could throw some more in. And is that a tree I see on the left? I think it would have burst into flames at this point. Perhaps just a little more (reflected) light on the volcano itself would enhance it, so you'll see some ground structures. If you could get the clouds to be more violent, bulbous, and perhaps multicolored it would be great, but in my attempts I didn't quite make the 'exploding clouds'.

That looks pretty cool :)
I'd try to lower the cloud a bit more so that the "hole" in the center will disappear, because this gives an idea that the cloud isn't erupting from the volcano.
(you can lower the cloud by lowering the altitude or by translating it a bit to the back using a "transform shader")
