First time posting.  I been a lurker for a while, I thought I better post something and maybe get some critique.

The clouds look quite nice. I would perhaps make some variation to the ground texture tho. Do you have acceleration cache on your clouds? If you do, it might be causing the tile error in the image

I like this. The clouds do look quite good. I would try for more detail with the rock faces.
You can add a new camera. This helps me get closeups of some area I am working on. This will also keep the original camera for testing.

@freelancah,  I am not sure if I have acceleration cache on for the clouds.  Right now I am at work so I will check it out tonight when I get home, thanks for the info/suggestion.

@njeneb, The rock faces do look a little bland.  My problem is I end up adding to many things or adding too much detail and ruining the image.  I guess I'll start out slow and build my way up.

You can gain a lot of control using child surface layers to the 'main' surface layer. These will allow better coverage control and adjustment of the the smoothness for a particular terrain type is easier.
