I love the clouds and texturing!  The realism and point of view are also great!  Just for the sake of having something to criticize :P, the shadows seem a bit too dark for me.

Nice image! The only thing i have to criticize is the grainy look of the trees. But that is not your fault! Either it depends on the basic quality of the xfrog trees or TG2TP has a general problem with trees, because i have seen these "artifacts" in many images with trees.

The world is round... so you have to use spherical projection.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions Gang.

Lets discuss the trees a little further.  I don't think it's a problem with the Trees from XFrog. I had them set on High Quality with 30 variations in the render. Here's a screen shot of a tree from one of the earlier versions of this image. I think the side lighting has much to do with the detail that you see. The final render kept the exact same lighting on the distant trees. Actually I prefer to see a little detail and variation in color in trees so they don't look flat black or painted in. I think this sample tree attached looks pretty good. I guess it also depends weather or not you view on a LCD Monitor as they do tend to make things look sharper and more pixelated.  I suppose it's just a matter of individual taste.  :)
