Hi everybody, I have been absent for a while due to other distractions in life. I had some free time this weekend so I started a new scene for commissioned work. It's not an overly complicated scene but realism was the main target.

I created various snow surfaces to show Glaciers and Seracs high up in the mountain. This technique uses painted shader with intersect underlying for shader distribution.

Depth map exported from Terragen 2 and comped in Photoshop.

48min render with the following settings:

Q: 1
AA: 4
GI: 2/2

There's some really nice detail on the mountain which would be enhanced with a little colour variation to the underlying grey rock surface.
I'd add a little green/brown to the blue/grey to add to the overall effect. Lovely image though.
