Feature Request: Offset for Crop Region

I am not sure if i or somebody has mentioned this.

It would be very handy if i could move the crop region with an x,y-offset instead of setting all of the four values. That would be much easier to handle. Then it would need only two other values: Width and hight in pixels or percent.
The better version would be, if i could move and (re-)size the crop-region frame in the preview window with the mouse.
What do you think?

Here here I totally agree with you, great idea, now lets see if we can get TGD2 to do it /wry smiles.....

Also I would like to see a way to re-add the tiling back into models easiely, that we bring in from outside into tgd2. Sorry i know that is off-topic, but it seemed to also fit here kinda /smiles.

I'm a bit unclear on the first part of this feature request. Are you suggesting setting the crop in terms of absolute pixel values? This would mean the crop settings (though not the relative position) would change whenever you changed the resolution. Although it would be rare that this would be a problem, it also seems rare that one would need a pixel-accurate crop region.

We do hope to implement direct selection of the crop region on the 3D preview in the future.

DT, I don't understand your request about "re-adding the tiling back into models". I suggest you post about it in a separate thread with a bit more explanation.

another request relating to the crop render, and the preview window. Whenever you disable the 'crop region,' the preview resets itself, and begins to re-render the scene in the preview window. It's a small thing, but will that be eliminated in the future?

@Oshyan: By percent would be more useful, you are right about the pixel values. If Matt will implement the preview version, he should make it a multiple crop-region selection from the beginning. This way, we can see several, maybe smaller, regions at the same time. I loved that feature in Realsoft3D.
