Using 'Inky's Rockage' .tgd file available here: http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=12651.0 , was able to come up with this POV.

great image really gives the feeling of height and weight to me

Dune

Great shot. Now you need some hawks circling... or some people standing on the cliffside. That would really 'immensify' the structure.

Mor

Looks great! Great sense of massiveness.

inkydigit

excellent job here Bob...glad you have found them useful...

Thanks to all for visiting. One thing I failed to do is give credit to dandelO for the 10M cracks - sorry Martin. Dune, I tried a Bald Eagle model in the scene (thanks Thelby). And, thought of adding some people models repelling down the rock structure but have no people models. Maybe the ones at Google might work - not sure they can be used in Terragen.

Lot of chaos at my house; our pet dog had surgery Friday morning to remove a bladder stone; just got her back yesterday.

I think the only change I would make is to round off the corners a little on the strata ledges. Great start. (I know, I hardly finish most of my images. Guilty as charged)

Yes Henry, I agree, it has kind of a chiseled look; but, I have no clue as to how to attain the rounded corners.

Try using Surface layers with the slope constraints set for very low angle for one and near 90 degrees for the second. Turn on the smoothing. Add a low scale power fractal for some displacement variation. (This might work.)

Man, every time I look at these sorts of shots, it reminds me of how much I still gotta learn about this program. I'm still avoiding land shots coz I have no idea what I'm doing with it yet.

Great stuff!
