Pentagular Dark

Just a couple questions regarding the equator in Terragen 2, in list form:

1-Is there/Will there be any way to have the camera be relative to the planet? Like SPORE?

2-When the camera's closer to the equator, in my test renders the sky appears to get thicker. See attached image.

3-Is there/Will there be any way to move the shader preview location on the planet?

Bump. Hey It's been like two days not even one thing? I at least expected other people to confirm the sky or say it wasn't bluer.

I'm not sure what you mean by thicker, I guess its a perceptual relative thing :)
Try dropping the haze density to 0.5 and decreasing the blue sky additive to 1 (or less). Both these values (and almost all others) can be animated (in Terragen Deep with animation)  so you can change the values for different camera views at different times.

Somehow this thread did not pop up using quick links. Cypher's advise on the atmosphere settings are good.

One thing which used to be true, and may still be... When you work on areas of he planet away from the 0,0,0 reference, object placement besomes very difficult. I try to keep my renders in or near the default height field because of this. The object placement becomes difficult because of the way the object center is calculated in the populator (for populations). When you get near the equator, the object may calculate perpendicular to the surface. I may be wrong on this.

The atmosphere settings did look good Cyphyr, but I ruined the scene in boredum.
But Planetside should still add in options for local camera control and shader preview.
