It is a nice read.

In the past it seemed to me that when John Carmack comes a little to much to the front Tim Sweeney would come out and made his own opinions clear too.
Maybe it is more a classic media thing (bringing other opinions for interest ) but would be nice what he thinks too about this.

If you didn't heard it already this was the reason for some part of the above review :

Carmack is an amazing person, but for some odd reason RAGE looks like the same ol', same ol'.  What am I missing?
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

Good tech but mostly all the same FPS. But then most of them are the same old things.
Only a handful of them are creative.
It was interesting how they were presenting it more as kind of a racing shooter and then pulled half way 180 degree and begun to present it as a kind of an old shooter again  :)

Seems a lot like Terragens technology...  ;)
only slimmed down and they have some textured point cloud models.
Hmmm... wonder what this button does....

Every id Software engine is incredible, but what is being done with it is debatable.  Some game companies are using this technology to do some fun and cool things, but (am I being cynical?) only a few are really so much fun.

I'm completely over the "shoot everything that moves" twitch games.  I have better things to do.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?
