There is no ETA for the next update at this time. Currently it is planned to address some acceleration cache issues including performance problems present in the previous update, as well as some render errors that occur occasionally. The Intersect Underlying function of the Surface Layer node will also be fixed and more options will be available. This feature will make realistic snow, ash and other depression-filling surface types much easier to create. Other bug fixes and updates may also be included, but those are the highlights at this point.

Uhh...Oshyan said realistic snow, ash, and particles I guess in general.

That's awesome!
Work hard Planetside team ;)

I'm afraid you've misunderstood DiscoBall. There is no particle system (and none is planned for the initial TG2 release). Intersect Underlying is a surface mapping feature. Although it's not technically "new", it did not work in previous builds so it will be new to the user base and it also has been improved with more options and better results.
