hi guys,

I need to buy a new computer for TG2.
Does anybody has an idea about the "ideal" computer ?  ???

TheBlackHole

Anything with working USB ports. :P
They just issued a tornado warning and said to stay away from windows. Does that mean I can't use my computer?

Buy as much power as you can afford. You'll be happier for doing so.

Would you like to buy an old USA Dell Pentium 4? I only need about $2000 more for the rig I want to build. ;)

sounds like Henry is reaally desperate to get rid of that old Pentium 4, i guess him asking me to do all his animations on my 2600k was'nt enough.   ;)  :D

if your willing to wait longer (a few months) and spend extra i would go for the socket 2011/sandy bridge E system, (more cores/threads)

but if you really want it now i would get a sandy bridge 2600k system.
