Work in progress of a Legacy ISD destroyer in orbit, still needs some work on the ISD, probably also needs a starfield and some more details on the planet. All in due time as I figure out how most of the nodes work.

Part 2
minor changes to the ISD and discovery of the light source node which makes for an explosion on the surface and opens up possibilities for window lighting on the ISD itself ;)

Part 3:

Light maps! :) The ship seems to come alive with it. I have no idea how to do the starfield, I tried but no luck so far.. I even looked at the starfields in the file sharing forum but cant get anything that looks right.
Next up is the planet, going to add some life to it trough cities and nightlights and or fires cause of the explosion thing going on, maybe a small moon or station orbiting.

interesting sart! Is this meant to be an animation or a still image? As a still this composition is really going to hurt all your hard work. But I imagine your just trying to get everything in and working before you refine the telling of it?
It has been eaten.

First things first, animating it would be amazing but since I'm just starting out I'll put that on hold.
As I progress I kinda noticed the bad composition myself, the ship itself is to far out... I placed a station in lower orbit at around 525km and was barely noticable from the current render view, I lowered the ship a bit and looked far better and gives me more chances to increase planet detail.
I didn't plan on going this far with this but I've learned alot through it and having fun while at it. ;)
