Welcome to the mushroom planet ! a 2 stars solar system exoplanet located far far away... also trying to make a ring around the background planet but no luck with dandelio's trick or with tbh rings (i get the ring but the distribution of rocks are weird) so back on the nodes :) by the way nebula and starfiel (slightly tweak) came from halmark on the forum

i like this one, nice sci-fi feel, reminds a little of sheogorath's realm in oblivion also.

Wow this might end up being my new wallpaper.  ;D
Hmmm... wonder what this button does....

Awesome - I feel like it's real - wonder who lives there to eat the mushrooms??
Every problem is an opportunity, but there are so many opportunities it is a problem!

Beautiful colours and great depth. It`s like a really exotic holiday destination. Well done.

Pentagular Dark

You are a great artist and (digital) space your canvas.  ;D
But, it seems the background planet has no paint. GREAT Render.
GAH!!! Don't look down here! Look at the posts man!

jacquesd

thanks for your kind comments, and yes i agree with you, it needs improvement on the background planet !

TheBlackHole

There's a camera in my ring setup. Remember to move that along with the ring population.
They just issued a tornado warning and said to stay away from windows. Does that mean I can't use my computer?

Nice job :) I really like your fog.
Heard of computer graphics? CG? Terragen 2, the landscape generating program, also known as TG, a whole cool way to create realistic CG - with TG.

@theblackhole, yep i dig it, i had moved the camera to the center of planet with ring, i understood that the distance shader node needs it to stop populating but i get a weird disribution of rocks inside the ring (not rings of rocks like saturn), in fact i am gonna test the cloud layer trick that seems lighter on resources (no pop objects), but tricky also to adapt to a specific planet, by the way thanks for your advices and contribution to this site & software :)

@jbest fog is just a default cumulus layer with a very low altitude and density
