Hi all

These are a couple or frames from the thread "Strange banding in Clouds" in the support section.
I had to raise the sample levels in the atmosphere to 64 (something I have not had to do in a looong while) with RTA on and detail = 0.8, AA = 8 to get rid of the noise. Still not completely convinced it will work in animation.

Render time was:
Frame 0001 56 min on my i7 2600 @ 4 Ghz and
Frame 0388 1h 45m on my i7 @ 2.97Ghz

Still some work to do on the foreground vegetation (add in grasses, bushes and some surface detail) and I'm unhappy about the darkness of the ship although given the lighting conditions its probably "ok".

Cheers

Richard

PS: Forgot to mention, the ship model is the "Licorne" by Ferval from DAZ 3D

Very nice! I really hope the problems went away! This will be a great animation if you just overcome the issues!

Looking good Richard. I'm keen to see this moving.

btw, How do pirates get from Lands End to John O'Groats?
