Populations appearing beneath the surface.

Once again I could use some advice. I'm trying to populate bushes and grasses (from xfrog) on a surface, but they keep appearing beneath the surface. (attached image shows what I'm seeing). Been searching the forums but I haven't turned up anything.  If anyone understrands what the heck is going on, please tell me...

They don't look like being under surface.... but if you attach the population to the last surface node before planet (instead of compute terrain) it should go right. It might be due to larger displacements after compute terrain, which aren't taken into account when placing the objects.

when things like this happen is due to the model not being on the Y axis properly that is- the feet or the most botom part of the object should be on the Y(0) axis in the modelling program

Yes that would be the best thing to try first and probably will solve it.

To me it looks like they perfectly sit on the surface, but are probably not positioned correctly on the X and Z axis.
