It is an image like this that makes me want to go and start a new project. I also like this aspect ratio which I'd like to see more of. Great work DV.

Here is the comparison of the two images. For some reason the quality of the second image seems a lot lower (probably due to jpeg compression) even though it was saved at higher quality settings from GIMP. Oh well, it still gets the point a crossed. I do like the bluer haze and will now render a bigger version since I won't be using my computer for the next 16 hours or so...maybe a 2400 pixel tall version  ;)

An exquisite piece of TG2 work.

masonspappy

That is without a doubt one of the best Terragen2 images I've come across.

This is really absolutely great. Incredibly realistic! Funny how a subtle increase of haze can add a lot to depth.

Oh boy, stupid filter at work is not letting me see the deviantart images, but even the prior ones are excellent. High degree of realism! One for the official PS gallery for sure.

amazing render!
some times in pw or whilst jpegging, different rgb profiles can be applied, which can alter an image quite dramatically in some cases, I have found...maybe that helps?
anyhow...beautiful render!
:)

Oshyan

Superb image! A bit dark on my monitor here, but beautiful nonetheless.

Hey Darth, did you have a senior show yet? If not you should render a couple more shots like you would for a pano, but don't stitch them. Print three or four panels and sell them at your show... I was thinking your an art student, is that right? Sorry if I'm confusing you with someone else.
It has been eaten.

Awesome work.  I live 30 minutes from those Cascades, and yes, they look just like this.

great one! You should consider to use a crop for the thumbnail, or probably different brighntess/contrast - the thumbnail version looks "unspectacular", but when opening the bigger versions....

Thanks everybody  ;D I've played around with postwork trying to improve it, but I always end up liking the straight TG2 output better for this one.

@TheBadger: Unfortunately you do have me confused with somebody else, I'm an engineering student ;) and wouldn't for the life of me know what to do if somebody offered me money to make work. Although, I really do like the idea of multiple shots forming a panorama, I might have to run with that idea  :)
