I like this one a lot more than the first one you showed. This one has a lot more mood to it I think. And even though there is less "action" in the shot, it feels a good bit more intense.
Only crit I have is that there should be some disturbance in the water behind the animal. To me it looks like he is running, and some splashes would really highlight that.
Over all this looks like a cut from an animated movie. I like it very much!
