Dog Fight

Been playing with this about a week, mostly post. Still not happy with it, thought I would post to see if anyone had any suggestions.

I like these scenes, although I'm not into aircraft at all. What comes to mind for change is the coastline (or whole terrain) on the left. You don't need it, or the 'beach' shouldn't be that light. Darkening it to algae ridden coastal rocks would be better. Maybe some vague high cirrus?

agreed. The fighters are what matters here. You have clouds for depth. we don't need to know the hight, which is all the island is good for.
