This one started out as a mid-sommer vista. I stumbled upon it when going through my older files.
I started reworking it, adding trees (xfrog and nwda). Also, I used DandelO's snow shaders.

How many of you do the same thing. Reworking older files, using the the knowledge you have today to make the older projects come to life?
Why stop dreaming when you wake up?

I do this all the time. It's the beauty of using procedurals against creating a stage set which is done in most standard 3D apps when they create landscapes.

I noticed similar use of mist on Kevin F's scene. I think it works best if you set things more subtly with lower contrast and coverage and maybe bigger size. I'm actually starting to use it in a very subtle way where the haze is actually being created with clouds and the atmosphere haze setting is dealing largely with creating exponential thickening near ground rather than filling the whole scene with haze. Or maybe you were creating a kind of steaminess from the river. In that case, things might be different.
