Martin Huisman (Tangled Universe) is a well-known and respected Terragen 2 artist who is a frequent supporter to fellow users on the Planetside forums.
Born near Rotterdam in the Netherlands, his fascination of nature and passion for drawing naturally led him to Terragen 0.9 around 2002. He was inspired by early Terragen pioneers such as Luc Bianco and Lutz B.
Martin is a partner at New World Digital Art and is busy creating his own personal website CG Scenery.com displaying the many works from his portfolio and acting as an online resource for Terragen 2 tutorials.
He maintains that every landscape created digitally in Terragen will exist for real somewhere in our infinite universe.

Next to a day job in the IT industry, Frank Basinki is a veteran Terragen artist, and the owner and founder of New World Digital Art, also known as "NWDA" - an online store for Terragen content and tutorials. His Terragen career started in year 2000 with an early version of Terragen classic. He became active in the community by writing tutorials for Terragen Classic, and later on for Terragen 2. As an artist, Frank prefers to work on still images, and is mostly focused on achieving photo realistic results. Frank lives in Germany with his family, likes to read fiction, go on bicycle tours, listen to some pretty heavy music, cook, be with friends, and above all, spend time with his kids.

The Terragen forum moderator at Renderosity, Danny Gordon has six years of intense involvement with Terragen. Attracted to the scene buildings aspects of Terragen from his experience of stage lighting, set building and props production, Danny is a great supporter to the Terragen community and sets regular competitions at his Renderosity forum. Born in New Jersey USA he is a draftsmen in the avionics industry as well as being a beer aficionado. Today Danny Gordon is heavily involved with Digital Arts, as a moderator for Renderosity's Terragen forum. Much of his time these days is spent getting Danny Gordon Digital Arts off the ground, selling Prints and animations to private and professional clients. See www.dannygordon20.deviantart.com

Ron Miller is a prolific illustrator and author living in South Boston, Virginia specializing in science, astronomy, science fiction and fantasy, with Terragen regularly used as part of his toolset. In addition to providing artwork for many magazine and book publishers, he is the author, co-author or editor of some fifty-odd books (some odder than others), including several novels. Miller's books include the Hugo awarded "The Art of Chesley Bonestell", Hugo-nominated "The Grand Tour", "Cycles of Fire", "In the Stream of Stars" and "The History of Earth." He has designed postage stamps and worked on motion pictures including Dune and Total Recall and worked on preproduction concepts, consultation and matte art for David Lynch, George Miller, John Ellis, UFO Films and James Cameron. Could you please elaborate on the content pack (Gold level)? What is it going to contain? Also, the lineup talks about five sessions, but I can only count four (2 by TU, one by Frank and the TOSCARS). Or is this still not finalized perhaps? Thanks!

Digital Art Live

Hi Otaker,

Thanks for your query.

I am in negoatiation with several potential presenters for the final webinar slot to be filled on Sunday the 20th of January. The webinar should be based on at least some of the demands of the community voiced in the survey I put out:-

http://www.planetside.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=15342.msg149429#msg149429

As soon as the slot is filled, I will announce what the final webinar will be on; but because the survey had an overwhelming majority of Terragen 2 users - it will certainly be centred on Terragen 2.

Frank Basinski from New World Digital Art is preparing the content pack and he wanted to make it exclusive for the conference, so it should be something unique. I've quizzed him again just now about it - so I will hopefully give you more details on this soon.

Thanks for your queries.

Sorry - you can't make it mhaze. There will be an opportunity to purchase recordings of the conference webinars at www.3DArtLive.com, not quite as good as being there live, but an option nonetheless.

Hello,

I am very much interested in all of this.
But what are we getting for the money exactly? I know the presenters from the forums are serious people, but What will the presenters be presenting, exactly?
57 dollars is not a lot of money, unless it is. You know?  ???

You'll get a goodies-package from NWDA and the presenters will present different topics, like:
Frank will give a masterclass on cloud creation. Wispy clouds, cirrus clouds, cumulus clouds, you name it.
I will give a class about the Terragen node network structure and flow.
Probably I will also cover object populations placement, tweaking and rendering.

The fact is, that coming saturday during the introductory session of this webinar you have the chance to come up with suggestions on what you'd like to be presented.
From that perspective it's still a bit open ended. However, the topics above will be covered if there are no signs/sounds/suggestions for other topics.
These topics are based on the recent survey.
For instance, from that survey it became clear to us that many of the issues users have with TG2 is understanding the node network and workflow.

As a new user of T2 this is a very welcome opportunity. Having immersed myself (and still doing so!) thru five years of conversations on this forum; to have this series, and these expert users available is just too good to miss. Hopefully the individual sessions will have some sort of an outline posted beforehand so slightly dazed folks such as myself can do a little 'prep-work'. Sign me up!
