Beautiful work Jo, especially on the river, ice and snow. Also like your mountain textures.

Oshyan

Really nice texturing work, especially in the foreground. The mountain texturing reminds me of the "Ben Nevis Challenge" from years back:

All three are beautiful, but number three really appeals to me. The composition and last of the winters ice in the water is really well done.

All of them looks good but i like the third one the most too!

Henry Blewer

I like the third best also. Great work!

Very nice :)

3.jpg instantly reminded me of the west coast of New Zealand's south island, where the braided river from the Franz Josef glacier meets the sea (not the glacier itself). Maybe it wasn't like this, but all the parts of the scene work together to remind me of New Zealand.

1.jpg looks like a photo of Scotland in the thumbnail, but in the full size image I wish there were more detail in the terrain and some of the mid-ground textures look a bit too plain and 'fractal' (in the middle of the picture). The foreground, lighting and overall colour palette look great. I think the water looks like sediment-loaded water, which is nice, but not so much like ice.

Just because milk is white doesn't mean that clouds are made of milk.

Thanks all for your comments especially Matt for some precise details.

The third image is most convincing. The ice on the water looks great. the only problem is it looks like the ice cracks go below the water line.
