World Machine + Geoglyph macro, xfrog trees, heather courtesy of Dune.

Dune

This is looking really nice. Can you make it bigger?

zaxxon

Here's a larger version. Rendered at detail 6.5, AA 8.0.

Higher detail version looks great. There is an overall yellow cast to the image that does not seem normally characteristic of the alpine-type scene depicted though. Unless this is at sunrise/sunset or the "golden hour", I think a more blue tint would be better. Other than that, great work, nice detail, sense of scale, etc.

Thanks Oshyan. There is a bit of gold tint to the sun, it's an old habit of my easel painting days when mountain scenes with 'too' much blue wouldn't sell. Not the case here obviously, so maybe I can plead 'artistic license'  ::). I made a typo above - the detail was point six five, not 6.5 (doh!)

Excellent work - a great terrain and nicely placed vegetation.

Very nice scene, and so realistic! Love the fallen and dying trees. One of the best this year.
