Another lighting variation of the poplar scene this time back lit to explore translucency.

That is beautiful, guy. The dandelion leaves look a little flat - did you have the GI turned off?

Thanks guys! :)

The GI is at 2. The leaves in this model do not have an image for the texture that could be the reason.

Nice work!  Did you pick these trees up at the local tree nursery and digitally teleport them to your PC?  They look that real.

I've also spent some time working with translucency.  Looks like you hit it right on as well!

One of the thing I found that seems to help with the shadows and translucency is to set the camera exposure to about 1.3 to 1.6 and the Envio Light to 1.3 to 1.6. You have to play with it a little, and low quality renders will tell you if you are on the right track.

Here is the .tgd and .ter files that I used.  Edit: Sorry I forgot to add the .tgd  ;D

The grass can be found here:  http://www.terranuts.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=505
The flower can be found here:  http://www.gintdev.co.uk/mr-miley/tgos.html
And I think old_blaggard is working on an ashunder download for the poplar tree.

I haven't included th rock texture info because I honestly can't remember where I got most of them. :)

Enjoy exploring, I'm sure you will put what you learn to good use.

FANTASTIC!

I can never get transparency/translucency (whatever you used here) to work. Could you post a screenshot of the node attachments and/or values used?  Thanks so much

I added the zip file with the .tgd and .ter above. ;D
