Thanks fellas for the observations. Appreciated.
TerrMite - Hens are small fat things that lay breakfast. Pheasants on the other hand are big fat things that fly and shout a lot.
Badger - I usually reckon T2 renderings are always a bit on the dull side, so a short trip into PS6 is usually in order just to get things a bit brighter for the average monitor view.
Incidentally, after this first venture into populating I have been trying every combination of control I could think of on a simple landscape to find out just how to control the number, spacing and sizes of various types of imported object. It's starting to bear fruit, although I am being a bit careful about loading up on something I've just created in case I overdo it. It would be nice if someone published a set of parameters dealing with this. If it was Photoshop I'd simply draw an area, select it and then fill it precisely how I wanted. T2 seems to carry a fair bit of guesswork with it, so I'm just doing it by numbers a bit at a time. If there's a better method maybe someone will tell me?
