Hi everyone, it's been a while since I used these forums!  However, I need your expertise!  ;D

Does anyone know where I can find animal object packs for TGD?  I've seen a few but they are not what I'm looking for.  Specifically, I'm looking for a majestic looking Stag.  Any help would be really appreciated! :-*

Hi, welcome to the forum! I'm afraid there is no animal TGO-pack yet, but you can import any obj or lwo file you can find and convert it into a tgo inside TG. I'm sure there is a lot of models out there.

www.daz3d.com but you'll need poser or the free daz studio to use their models

in addition to mhaze's post there are free animals available from DAZ...I've used a few and after running them thru PoseRay (also free) they import fine into TG2. If there is no .obj present in the package I open it in the free DAZ and export as an .obj prior to running thru PoseRay and reassigning the textures.

Personally I would not bother, unless the animals are going to be reasonably far from the camera. Daz and poser models, although good for what they are, always seem to stand out as somehow, wrong, flat and static. They don't seem to complement the realism of Terragen well. Birds, fish, insects and reptiles can be ok but anything furry always looks out of place. I'm probably being a little over picky due to the current "photo-realism" contest but I've thought this way for a while now.

Just my opinion though.

And NEVER let another opinion stop you! :)

Cheers
