Sun shinning through object models and landscape

I have the sun shinning through object models and landscape.  The sun is below the horizon but still shines through have tried all the usual tricks but they are having no effect. Any ideas?

Almost certainly it would be enabling Receive Shadows From Surfaces in the Atmosphere.
