35,000 FREE 3D models...

Um, just found this resource. Don't know if its been posted here before. Probably has but who can remember.
Its .3DS & .GSM only. Usefulness and quality vary. Might have what you need if you can convert the file types to your modeler. And you may or may not have to map what you download. Free for commercial and privet. But models cannot be redistributed. Alter models as you like.
So, some hitches. But Anyway, have a look.

not sure if this is true, but I heard several times that you also find "stolen" objects there. Commercial objects, just slighlty modified and then placed there for free.
There´s also no info about the people running the site and the buy ads links is handled by a different company as far as I can tell - so even there you don´t get info about the people behind the site.

Perhaps I am to paranoid, I might be totally wrong - but ususally, when something looks to good to be true, then it simply isn´t true ;-) So perhaps keep that in mind when surfing around over there.

The majority of them are stolen models, I have seen models from DeEspona and MeshFactory. Luckily they are mostly of terrible quality and are now at least ten years old. Many of them would not translate well into modern software and those that do would be so low poly as to almost be considered laughable by todays standards.
