I've seen the second one before somewhere. That's a great image but It's all really nice.

I was on the lightwave site just the other day and saw this person's work:

There is so much great work appearing but it's all mixed and matched. 3D and 2D. This is why I'm concentrating on other doing other things at the moment rather than just TG2. To use TG2 to the full you need to use it with other software even if it's just an edited matte painting. I'm a bit tired of the vaste scale stuff and a bit more into creating smaller scenes. I want to integrate other things.

Basically TG2 is no good on it's own. Apart from anything else, trying to animate an entire complex scene in TG2 is almost impossible.

Here's someone else I really like. No 3D but you can see how it could be more 3D. I love this guy's work. I've got his last book:

I'm not into re-creating "realistic" environments. I never have been and I think it's a mistake to think in those terms. The fantastic strength of something like TG2 is that you can create all sorts.

Amen. For what TG2 does, it does splendidly.  Better than any other software package I'm familiar with.  But TG2 is at its best when it is one of several software packages involved in image building.
