You can view the image here.  It's good to have this project out the door - now I'm off to Europe - see you all in a few weeks :).

The world is round... so you have to use spherical projection.

Fantastic! Bet this took a lot of tweaking to figure out.

Nice idea with the arch, two twist and shear shaders?
If your in Europe over the next few weeks be sure to check out the Glastonbury Festival (in the UK bit of Europe ;D) (if your into that kind of thang ...)

Wow.  Beautiful.  Like the color of the stones and the shapes are all great.  Nice sky.  Great composition and viewpoint.

Hope you're having a time in Europe!
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

Thanks for the comments, guys.  Realuser - I'm actually in Germany for three weeks (Munich and then Lahr), and then I'll be in Paris for a week.

I love Paris.  Never been to Germany, which is on my list of "nexts".

Cool, i hope you have a great time here. I have never been in Lahr (Black Forest btw for the others http://www.lahr.de/startseite.1.1.htm), but it seems a nice place to be after visiting the website of the town. Sadly Munich or Lahr is too far away from Castrop-Rauxel (NRW) for a short visit and a beer or two.

@Calico: Germany is really worth a visit! We have many places, landscapes, buildings and funny accents which are worth to see and hear! Only the Germans don't know how beautiful their country is.

Thanks RealUser.  That and Switzerland are high on my list.  My dad was in Germany when he was in young and said how beautiful it was.

o_b if you make it to Ireland (Belfast) give me a shout!

btw...superb detailed render....love that structure!

old_blaggard

Hey, Inky!  I'm sorry, but I'm not making it all the way to the UK for this visit.  I'm glad you like the image!  When I get home I'm going to tinker with a few things - looking at it again, I'm not totally satisfied with it yet.

The arch is cool but I like your stones and other details. It looks very realistic.

Volker Harun

It is a very good render!
