Hello

I was watching some of these vimeo vids, the ones in open D. Time-lapse sequences  and such.
So I was curious what you guys thought might be the best way to make a Time-lapse *esthetic* shooting star.
here is a vimeo vid that has plenty of what Im talking about: http://vimeo.com/69846045

Just as a guess, Im thinking a sphere with as a light at scale (whatever that may be) and just throw the sphere across the scene?
Trails may be a problem.
It has been eaten.

Given that I don't have the animation version, perhaps the motion-blur effect?  Or is that only limited to objects close to the camera?  Although, you may also be able to construct on object with a trail on it.  I'm not sure you want to use a light source as a star (unless there's a specific effect you're going for) as it might cause a lot of unintended (and unwanted) effects and shadows.
