TG3... A couple of Walli's grasses; the rest XFrog.  Not too happy with the tree - and nearly choked when, after a 15 hr render, I saw the roots poking through :(  Still... onwards and upwards...

I like the wake!
Need to add wetness to the wall though. Wall could use some stones/sand  on the rock too.
It has been eaten.

I added a wetline near the water :)  Is it not noticable on your monitor?  Yeah, some added detail might be nice - thanks :)

I actually quite like this, perhaps one of your better TG2/3 images. The roots poking through is fine! It's realistic in some circumstances. Although perhaps the roots should look a bit different. Still, not so bad.

Ahh I see it now. Thanks for pointing it out. I guess its just too even? Maybe a little more wet/shine in some places, and less in others?

Eoin, this is super nice. Great job on that terrain.

I've done a lot of river fishing and I often see tree roots sticking out of banks like this. I thought it was a nice touch :-).

mhaze

Ilike this one. Good sky, interesting displacements and good use of plants but perhaps a little colour variation in the mud and some embedded stones.

EoinArmstrong

Thanks all.

Jo, I toootally meant it >.>.  I was actually thinking about roots, but I wanted them twisted and hugging the bank - I was too lazy to model them in C4D/XFrog.

mHaze... the colour variation is an interesting one.  There should be near-whites and dark greens in there - you can see them in the preview render (if I recall correctly), but they didn't "come out" in the render *shrug*

great displacements Eoin... lucky roots, could've been just flat holly polys showing through!
now all you need is a fisherman! :)
