Would if I could.  This is a very highly customized xFrog tree. It was re-scaled to accommodate the bark I created for this shot. Also played with the geometry (including adding a side trunk)  and branch distribution factors.  I think I'm a few steps closer to my goal of a realistic tree but there is more work to be done.  BTW, I don't want to give the impression I'm criticizing xFrog. Their stuff is still fine for distance work. It's just that I have a very specific need for objects that hold their realism when examined up close.

The second variation of the original image.  I'm not sure if this is normal performance, but adding GodRays increased the render time to about 11 hours(!)
