Interesting! I think add some layers on the terrain with different colors could improve your overall picture. Varying the population in the background would be nice too !

The trees in the background look really tiny to me.
Add som mud to that water, its way to clean.
The animal could use a more active pose.

Over all a rather nice image, just needs a little more love.

I like all but the distant hill.  Maybe less trees or more variety in them.

The fir trees are intentional because the rhino is supposed to be way out of his normal environment. I had the idea of
an animal which escaped from a zoo and isn't even on the right continent and trying to figure out what to do in such a pond and forest area.

Yes, I probably have to adjust the trees. They don't have the "right" look yet.
My concept was to have the water clear like some ponds we have near beach areas .
Guess I'd have to do some work to break the model up to change the pose. It is a single part model by Marc Gebhart.

I like the concept of animals being totally out of their environment, I made a series of paintings a good while back, where diverse animals were situated in very wrong landscapes. If you overdo it, the concept will probably get better recognized. Like a zebra on a snowy mountain slope.

What really would be fun is add a tidal line (wet or algae or calcium) across the rhino, like it's been standing there for ages.
