The device must be located in a polar region, we have proof in the lab of images with very long shadows pointing as close as makes no difference to all the cardinal points. Curiouser and curiouser.
Our best estimate is the northern pole but until we can pinpoint a definitive location that cannot even be officially confirmed. Very little is known yet but our scientists are confident that this device can be located using more recently obtained data from unconnected NASA mission imagery at a higher lunar orbit. A press conference will be announced in the coming weeks.
