I am using T2. Is it possible to create a heightfield, export it as an LWO object and reopen it in T2 as a separate object? There are times that I would like to do so, but the export function breaks the files into a usable format for other programs, not Terragen. Thanks.

Oui c'est possible, mais je laisserai répondre en anglais.  ;)
Si, je me trompe pas.

Yes it is possible, but I leave answer in English. ;)
If I'm not mistaken.

Donc tu peux qu'eux exporter en .ter, pour l'utiliser après. En important dans T2.

Pourquoi tu veux en format low ?

So you can than they export to. Ter for use after. In important in T2.

Why you want to low format?

You can create an object from TG2 terrain. The way I know to do it is to create a camera (preferably orthogonal) that looks straight down on geometry you want to save. If the terrain is generated from a heightfield then make sure that the heightfield fully covers the camera's field of view. In the render node that you will be using, specify an output file by creating a "LWO micro exporter" in the Sequence/Output Tab. The geometry is created when you render. The "object" will not be closed as it will just be the surface that was visible within the field of view when you did the render. If you want the mesh to be closed then you will have to add the additional geometry in a mesh editor such as Lightwave Modeler. It is recommended to save the object in OBJ format for use with TG as the LWO loader is buggy in TG2.

You should actually use the "Micro Exporter", not "LWO micro exporter". The LWO exporter is old and only included for backwards compatibility at this point. There is documentation on the Micro Exporter, including instructions for use, here: http://www.planetside.co.uk/wiki/index.php?title=Micro_Exporter

Je suis désolé, de mal t'aider. Comme je parle mal l'anglais et le lire aussi, promis j'apprendrais l'anglais cette année. ;)

I'm sorry, wrong help. As I speak poor English and read it too, I promise I will learn English this year. ;)

(google translate) Cheers.
