I make this image after a discussion with Cyphir and Gregtee (thanks to both of you  ;) )
about Diffuse colour and Translucency on Leaves.

I use a Xfrog Queen Palm Tree as in the image. This tree has 2 leaf shaders, changes are made on both shaders

Hope this could help to choose the settings for some of your renders

Thankyou, I'm sure people will find this helpful :) However I think the subject is a little more complex. Particularly with translucency a lot of the effect will be altered according to sun angle, leaf density (how many leaves are casting shadows on to each other and how close they are together) and camera position.

I agree. These are just a couple of settings and many more alter a render.

The image can be used as a possible way to improve the render. I must admit i don't always think to modify these settings
and usually keep as basic

In shadowed areas the translucency often gives trees unwanted lightness, so indeed, you have to adjust depending on the scene.
