Looks much better. One other thing I noticed; the exposed root on the left side looks like a hip, upper leg, knee and lower leg partially in the ground ...odd; like seeing figures in the clouds.

I wonder how much effort it would take to deliberately place subliminal elements in a render?

this is looking very nice! Beeing that close to the ground, I would try to scatter some leaves with real geomtry - that would add a lot of volume.

Love these images and mostly the most recent ones as the tree looks better and the forest floor is absolutely perfect !
