Upon Infinity

This is a concept and test render for a larger project.  Just making sure I can model, texture and set up everything the way I need it in the future.  It looked good so I thought I'd post it.  Let me know if I'm doing anything wrong in the modelling process.

looks pretty darn good

Thanks, Mike.  I used Hexagon to model (your favourite!) And not without a few crashes, of course.

Dune

Yeah, looks good. Curious to see the development of your project (if you'll post...).

All my recent postings are technically part of the same project.  But if you mean this part, specifically, then I will try to accommodate you, although you might have to be patient...

Testing interior light.  Are we having fun yet?

Looking good................ :)

In any event, I'm about ready to start getting my hands dirty.  I'll post an update in a few weeks, months, or years  :P, or however long it takes me to get something good.

Is the third tower from the left supposed to be round or 8-sided? It looks 8-sided by the roof, but the shadow looks rounded. In that case you should decrease the 'crease angle' (I think it's called that) in Poseray (if you use that).

Good eye, Ulco.  Yes, it is 8 sided and that was a problem with the texture displacement being too high in Terragen.  Because Terragen is attempting to calculate the image too far out, it gives it a more rounded appearance.  This is why I do the tests.  But that model was put together really quickly (you can see an obvious flaw in the geometry near the window).  I'm going to take a lot more time with my final designs.

These are looking good. Keep up the fine work, I'm looking forward to more!
