help with wet sand

I need a wavy wet sand look, any way to do this?  I'm new to this, thanks.

one way would be to do with functions and clamp the altitude to which function applies.....see this link for reference\

the link doesnt show how to get wavy wet sand effect but I think it will tell you how to do the wavy look....

It is there in 1 of 4 parts of "A Function Only Landscape"

Ok, I finally have some progress after playing arround with functions and some help from the board.
