V2 post 09
Some desert work.
Pop from xfrog (the old south west usa bundle)
Something weird about the road scale to me. Need to tweak this.

Do you have DOF on...........the foreground looks out of focus. Or maybe my eyes are really getting bad.
I like your scene..........I don't think it's the road scale. I think maybe it's the POV.

Try it without DOF.
It tends to make things look like miniatures sometimes.
Feels like the roadrunner will pass by suddenly .
I like the scene

I like this one too. I'm thinking that maybe the haze might be a bit too high; also, consider increasing the red sky decay and reducing the gamma to 1.9

Looks real good for the most part. To me the blur in front looks like heat coming of the road.
It has been eaten.

I like it also, it looks very movie like with this kind of DOF and frame.
I'm imagine myself a convoy into your scene at mid range, or this one known here:

Good work but I'm not keen on the DOF and the placing of the cacti etc seem very even - blending with a PF will clump the veg in a more natual way

I like the first comp much more.
It is your image of course but i would have just lowered the DOF
(you could adjust the distance for only the very near side on the road etc.) or get rid of it .

Sense of scale seems better in the 2nd view but i prefer the 1st POV.
Anyway it is a very nice scene.
