At the Middle of Winter

Having the worst winter in memory here. As I type this the thermometer is sitting at 0 F. outside with 15 mph winds.
Spring seems far off beyond the horizon, so inspired, if you can call it that, to produce this.
I suspect someone must make a sacrifice here in the Middle or Spring may not come at all.

I like this...........I agree about the sacrifice. It's supposed to start snowing (or freezing rain......my favorite ) sometime tonight and hang around until sometime Wednesday afternoon.

Kill a chicken.
If it does not bring better weather, you can still eat it. And the fire you will need to cook will help keep you warm. So bonus I guess.
I would stay away from human sacrifices though, I guess.

Like the feel of the atmo and background over all. It has a very emotional quality.
